A ONE-HOUR TV DOCUMENTARY

Why don’t more young people vote in elections? Through the eyes of a young actor (Dylan Playfair), the film investigates the divide between youth and traditional political processes. Dylan seeks out young people in Canadian and U.S. cities on the verge of municipal or mid-term elections and discovers some surprising realities in other notable locations. The Drop: Why Young People Don’t Vote is the title of this co-production between Triple Threat Films (Ian Waddell, Kyle McCachen and Dylan Playfair) and Kensington Communications for TVO, CPAC and other broadcasters.

Shooting locations include: Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Whistler, Paris, Oxford, North Carolina, Burning Man in Nevada, St. Louis, and Ferguson, Missouri.

Expected release: September 2015
