follow the specification guidelines and advice below.
As soon as you are ready to send us your tracks, please use our WeTransfer page at www.bedtracks.wetransfer.com.
It is important that if your tracks are registered with any Youtube Content ID system, that they only be registered in your name (not in the name of another publisher). If your tracks have been registered in the name of another publisher then we cannot accept your tracks. We also promise never to register them, ever.
All files should be delivered within these technical specifications:
48Khz / 24bit Wave files or 16 bit 44.1khz (or any combination of these sample rates and bit depths.)
No location sound effects in the track (traffic, rain, nature sounds) or must send one version of track without these.
Songs must have a clear and defined ending. No fade outs.
If tracks contain lyrics, we must have versions without these lyrics too.
No duplicate tracks. If duplicates are found you will be asked to resend your tracks without the duplicates.
BPM & Key
Please also send the Key and BPM info for your tracks, preferably in an excel spreadsheet. Follow the points below:
- BPM: Round all tempos to whole numbers. Example 120, not 119.5
- Key: If the track is in A major, put A. If the track is in C minor put Cm. Use lower case b for flats. Use # for sharps.
SONG CONSTRUCTION KITS
If any of your tracks were created using a song construction kit like;
-Big Fish Audio
-MVP Loops Big
Or any others, please specify which ones in a separate column in your Key and BPM document. Furthermore, if you are taking this approach, we require that you aren't only rearranging the song that is in the kit. We want it remixed and re-imagined using the kit as a pallet/foundation for your track.
Please also thoroughly read the license agreements for these products before you submit to avoid any issues down the road.
To increase your chance of placements we highly encourage you to submit stems of your tracks. It also creates an opportunity for the tracks to be mixed in 5.1 surround sound, a format that more and more broadcasters are using, making the need for stems that much greater.
Possible Stem Break Downs (for a maximum of 5 stems) : Drums, Bass, Lead Instrument/Hook, Guitars, Pads/Ambience/Strings, Keys, Percussion (or anything else that is an identifiable sonic element that will noticeably change the arrangement if added or taken away.)
Once again, to increase your chance of placements we highly encourage you to submit alternate versions of your tracks.
Possible alternate versions: :05 (stinger), :15, :30, :60, and full version.
In order to ensure the quickest turn around with your tracks we require them to be organized with the following naming convention.
Please ensure that every track STARTS with the file name and then the version. This also applies to stems.
Happy Sunday Main Mix
Happy Sunday 60Sec
Happy Sunday Bass Stem
Happy Sunday Guitar Stem
Happy Sunday Drum Stem
In order to ensure the quickest turn around with your tracks we require them to be organized with the following folder hierarchy:
Master Folder (Composer Name and Date) → Genre Folders (Rock, Jazz, Classical, Trailer, Unspecified, etc) → Tracks
Please do not hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any further questions.
We look forward to working with you.
